History[]

Season 1[]

In New Tech, Barbara inputted on the new reading app fake scores on how her class was doing in reading. This inadvertently indicated that her kindergarteners were reading at a fourth-grade level. Janine suggested that Barbara share how she managed to accomplish this, but Ava proposed that they have an assembly and have one of Barbara's students read to the whole school. Barbara had chosen Khalil, a known reader in her class, but Ava chose Will instead. Ava noted that Barbara had performed a miracle on Will -- a 5-year-old boy reading at a fourth-grade level.

Barbara spent her free time coaching Will and helping him read, however, Will was having problems reading "Jack & Jill." Barbara knew that Will was not quite ready to read just yet, so she planned on having Will "read" from "A Collection of Short Stories, Nursery Rhymes and Fables." She thought that since she has read from that book so many times, Will would have practically have it memorized. Janine interrupted their reading to borrow some stickers. When Barbara left to get some, Janine asked if Will was excited to show the school his skills. He answered in the affirmative and then stood up to dance. This confused Janine, but Barbara told her that Will had just gained entry to the magical world of books, so he was just celebrating.

During the assembly, just before being introduced, Will was able to memorize the words to Jack & Jill. Barbara gave him some last-minute coaching. She reminded him not to dance, but he told her that dancing was what he does best. Ava was giving a long-winding introduction and Will stated that he was starting to forget the words. Panicked, Barbara rushed Will on stage so he could begin.

Will was about to read his book, when Ava announced that there was a change of plans. Since Will was reading at a fourth-grade level, Ava took out her Michelle Obama book and had Will read that instead. Despite Barbara's protests, Ava gave the book to Will. Before he could even try reading, Barbara stopped him, especially when she saw that Will was holding the book upside down.

Barbara confessed to everyone that while she did know how to teach students how to read, she just didn't know how to use the new app. She was just pushing buttons when she was using it and that she did not mean to say that her class was reading at a higher level.

Sometime after the assembly, Will surprised both Janine and Barbara by reading the Michelle Obama book proficiently. After that, Ava had Will read her the book instead of getting an Audible membership.

Season 2[]

In Attack Ad, Will starred in the attack ad by Legendary Charter. He was shown dancing in Gregory's class and Gregory was repeatedly asking him to stop dancing.
