The second season of the mockumentary Abbott Elementary was renewed for a second season by ABC on March 14, 2022,[1] and aired from September 21, 2022 to April 19, 2023.[2] The season consists of 22 episodes.[3]
When asked how the second season will differ from the first, Brunson answers that in the first season, she really wanted them to stay in the school so that the audience could fall in love with Abbott, the workplace. In the next season, they will be going outside just a little bit more.[4]
On January 11, 2023, ABC renewed the series for a third season.[5]
