10/10 If you were wondering why I’ve been inconsistent with reviews lately, this show is the reason why. It’s genuinely one of the best sitcoms of all time, and no one can tell me otherwise.
Plot: A group of passionate teachers and a tone-deaf principal teach at Abbott Elementary while being filmed by a camera crew.
Positives:
1. The plot is great. I’ve always liked mockumentary workplace sitcoms, so Abbott immediately appealed to me, especially since it explains the camera crew and has the characters interact with them.
2. I love all the characters. Janine is a great character for many reasons. She starts as very naive and tries to fix every problem at the school, often ignoring her own needs in favor of the students, but as the series goes on, she becomes more self-aware and learns what she can and can’t fix. The others are just as great, dare I say better than Janine? Gregory, Ava, Mr. Johnson, Melissa, and Barbara are hilarious and entertaining in their own ways.
3. The humor is where the show shines the best. Each episode is packed with memorable gags and jokes from the cast. Every character has an element of humor that makes the comedy work, such as Janine’s can-do attitude, Gregory’s deadpan demeanor, Ava’s unprofessionalism, Jacob’s corniness, Mr. Johnson’s conspiracy theories, Melissa’s connections, and Barbara’s unfamiliarity with celebrities.
4. The cast performances are phenomenal; my favorites being Tyler James Williams' and Sherly Lee Ralph’s performances as Gregory and Barbara because of how much life they bring to their characters in terms of comedy. Quinta Brunson, Chris Perfetti, Janelle, James, and William Stanford Davis deliver amazing performances, bringing humor and entertainment to their respective roles.
5. I love the episode structures; most of them follow relatable issues for teachers at the school, and those tend to be the most entertaining because of how they handle the social commentary. In the episodes outside the school, they introduce more development for the characters we didn’t know they needed. Examples from these two types of episodes include Work Family, Development Day, Holiday Hookah, Fight, Smith Playground, Volunteers, Books, Karaoke, and Game Night.
6. The side characters are good too, my favorites being Tariq, Morton, and Dia for how funny they are.
7. Janine and Gregory’s relationship developed well; it didn’t drag on for too long, nor did they get together too quickly. I like seeing them together and am excited for what’s next for them in future episodes.
Nitpick:
1. After rewatching the first season, I honestly didn’t like how Janine
Negatives:
None
Overall, I love Abbott Elementary. It’s a show I’d been sleeping on for a while, and I didn’t start watching until September 28th. After watching "Dad Fight,” I was hooked. It’s a well-written series that’s worth watching–happy 4th anniversary.

Is the wiki going cover the second part of the crossover seeing as the episode was still very Abbott focused? I just wanted to ask
